Secret Garden Takes Flowly Heroes through a Purpose-Discovery Journey
Los Angeles, CA, January 08, 2024 — Flowly, the innovative startup backed by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Y Combinator (YC), is thrilled to unveil its latest virtual reality (VR) experience: “Secret Garden” to take users on a self-discovery journey to overcome fears and find their purpose.
The Secret Garden VR experience represents the creative collision of both the creative aspirations and the inspiration of the Flowly team. According to Narae Kim, CCO and Co-Founder of Flowly, Secret Garden was inspired by a shared passion of the entire Flowly team, Studio Ghibli, explaining, “We believe that healing can be a beautiful experience and that beautiful art and stories have the power to heal. Every world we design has its roots in nature and art. We were specifically inspired by the landscapes that inspired Hayao Miyazaki as we started brainstorming about this world.”
Empowering Healing Through Purpose
Secret Garden is not merely an immersive, beautiful landscape; it reinforces Flowly’s core lesson to users about working towards building a life they want rather than “unlearning” non-specific pain. Through Secret Garden, Flowly aims to provide a safe space for users to cultivate courage, disassociate from their self-doubt, and gain hope for their future.
The launch comes at a pivotal moment for Flowly’s users. Celine Tien, CEO and Founder of Flowly, articulated, “The past few years have been particularly tough on the world, and the end of the year affects people in the chronic pain community emotionally and psychologically due to seasonal affective disorder as well as the colder temperature and holiday stress triggering painful flare-ups. We hope that through the comforting world of Secret Garden and the space to practice gratitude and cultivate courage, our Heroes will discover the purpose to guide them into the start of the new year.”
